Chuck E Cheese Recently Changed Their Name To Pasquallys On Grubhub

Chuck E. Cheese has slowly rolled out a name change for their pizza listings on popular delivery sites over the last several weeks. GrubHub, Postmates, and Seamless now show Pasquallys, while Chuck E. Cheese remains the name on DoorDash and Uber Eats.

Comparing Pasquallys addresses on GrubHub and DoorDash quickly shows that they share location with Chuck E. Cheese.

Although all of the pizzas available via Pasquallys can be bought through ChuckECheese.com, the parent company says theyre not the same thing.

A statement from Chuck E. Cheese says the Pasquallys brand pizza is a premium version of what youd eat during birthday parties, featuring a thicker crust and extra sauce.

Pasquallys pizza menu includes BBQ chicken, supreme, stuffed crust, all-meat, all-veggie and make-your-own. The rest of their menu is super cheesy bread, bone-in wings, boneless wings, and a chocolate chip cookie pizza.

All of those items are available for purchase through ChuckECheese.com.

In my area, buying a large supreme pizza, cheesy bread, and cookie pizza at Pasquallys would cost me $27.98 on GrubHub .

The same items at Chuck E. Cheese through DoorDash cost me $33.47 before taxes and fees.

A pickup order through ChuckECheese.com only costs $18.99 before tax.

Hes the pizza-making drummer although Pasquallys doesnt use any of the character imagery in their marketing.

Wonder if the West Philadelphia pizza restaurant Pasquallys will have any problem with this. . .

How Pasqually’s Went Viral On Social Media

While Grubhub and Seamless have not shared the number of restaurants operating under different names on those apps, they say that model was employed prior to the widespread fracturing of the restaurant industry from coronavirus.

Still, as Chuck E. Cheesemeans nostalgia for some and internet fodder for many, this particular instance took over social media. Some thought it was genius, some thought it was a trick. Some called it catfishing by the rat-turned-mouse mascot. Tuesday, without exactly addressing it, the brand tweeted “Sometimes things don’t go your way.”

One Reddit user said they were trying to support a local business and ended up unintentionally supporting Chuck E. Cheese, since theres no indication on delivery apps that lets customers know that both franchises are connected.

The parent company of Chuck E. Cheese, CEC Entertainment, is struggling under a heavy debt load, with lenders organizing and tapping restructuring lawyers, according to Business Insider. For an orphan mouse who allegedly does not know his own birthday, it just the next obstacle to overcome.

The spokesperson would not confirm whether Pasqually’s branded pizza will disappear once brick-and-mortar Chuck E. Cheese restaurants start to reopen on a larger scale, but the name is actually a dead giveaway to any true fan of the pizza-loving mouse.

Pasqually is simply a different version of the more traditional Italian name Pasquale, who just happens to be the beloved Italian chef that took Chuck E. under his wing and then, somehow, became the drummer in the mouse’s Munch’s Make-Believe Band.

In the face of our mere opinions and theories, a spokesperson for Chuck E. Cheese has this to say, according to People: The claims made in this video about Chuck E. Cheeses and our pizza are unequivocally false. No conspiracies here our pizzas are made to order and we prepare our dough fresh in restaurant, which means that theyre not always perfectly uniform in shape, but always delicious.

There you have it straight from the rats mouth.

Chuck E Cheese’s Will Now Deliver Pizza To Your Home

Game on! For most of us, Chuck E. Cheeses has always been about the arcade games and that iconic animatronic animal band, though thats being phased out. But no trip to this childhood wonderland would be complete without the pizza. Now you no longer have to go to a restaurant and deal with screaming kids to get a hot slice of Chuck E. Cheeses cheesy pizza. The chain has added home delivery through established delivery services Grubhub, Uber Eats and DoorDash, depending on diners locations.

We know families love our fresh, never frozen pizza as much as our games, Ashley Zickefoose, chief marketing and concept officer at CEC Entertainment Inc., said in a statement. In addition to the pizza, home-delivery diners can also order other items off the menu.

Although the chain wont deliver a Ms. Pac-Man machine and a fistful of prize tickets along with the pizza, there are playtime perks. Every delivery order will come with a character plush toy or a free goody bag filled with puzzles, games, and toys, while supplies last.

To see if youre in the party zone, go to each of the three delivery service websites, enter your address, and then search on Chuck E. Cheeses.

Pasqually’s Pizza And Wings Isn’t The Local Pizza Shop Many People Think It Is

Restaurants have been pushed mostly to delivery options in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic but Chuck E. Cheese is resorting to changing their name on delivery apps as people arent as interested in their pizza as they would have thought.

People have noticed on delivery apps like Grubhub or UberEats that theyve changed their name to Pasquallys Pizza and Wings causing some confusion among customers ordering pizzas on the apps.

In case you dont know, the company have a character in their franchise called Pasqually P. Pieplate.

In a statement to Food & Wine, the company explained their name confusion after a user gave their experience and the report showed the Philidelphia location had the same address as the pizza joint. Other cities have shown a similar situation too.

CEC Entertainment, Inc. recently launched Pasquallys Pizza & Wings nationwide. The inspiration was rooted in the desire to create a premium pizza while staying true to the CEC brand, the statement reads.

The representative further says Pasquallys does share kitchen space with Chuck E. Cheese. On top of that, they claim the pizza isnt exactly the same and features a different pizza that features a thicker crust and extra sauce.

One Reddit user gave an explanation from his experience as a delivery driver for how a name change isnt as uncommon as you may think.

Chuck E Cheese Vs Showbiz Pizza

Chuck E. Cheese was actually around first, with the first location opening in 1977, but it was only three years later that ShowBiz Pizza opened up.

However, the process of opening it ended up creating a bit of a problem.

Nolan Bushnell opened Chuck E. Cheese with his iconic robotic rat. Bushnell was actually the founder of Atari and inventor of Pong, so he was looking for a way to expand his arcade empire.

He decided that to convince parents to bring their kids to the restaurant, they would need to have some kind of free entertainment. You couldnât get people to go pay for games if that was the only thing offered so the animatronic band was developed.

Chuck E. Cheese, Jasper T. Jowls, Crusty, the Warblettes, and Pasqually were known as the Pizza Time Players, and they all hung out and joked between songs on stage, in an attempt to entertain both the kids and parents.

Chuck E Cheese Offering Premium Pizza For Delivery Under New Brand To Some Customers Surprise

DO NOT ORDER CHUCK E CHEESE PIZZA AT 3AM!! *OMG HE ACTUALLY CAME TO MY HOUSE*

Caption: Chuck E. Cheese’s PIzza in Harrisburg, Pa. Credit: PNHarrisburg Patriot-News

Since restaurants and bars were ordered closed in early March due to COVID-19, the new normal in dining out has been take-out or delivery, or the use of apps like DoorDash, Grubhub, and UberEats.

Restaurants are attempting to weather the crisis, and people are wanting to show support for the local independent spots that are trying to hold on.

According to a report by Food & Wine, thats what a Redditor in Philadelphia was trying to do when she spotted a potential problem with Grubhub – after she ordered a pizza from what she thought was a local restaurant but turned out to be an undercover version of Chuck E. Cheese, the report said.

Food & Wine reports this is how it happened:

Believing that she was doing her part to support a local business, a Grubhub user placed an order from a place called Pasquallys Pizza & Wings. However, when she received her food, the report said, she was slightly suspicious about where it really came from. Being just curious, she texted her Grubhub driver – ‘Was this food from Chuck E. Cheese?

The driver responded that when he picked up the order, the logo for the wing restaurant was on the windows of the Chuck E. Cheese.

Making things worse – and more confusing, Food & Wine reports there actually is a real pizza place in West Philly called Pasquallys – which has no affiliation with the Chuck E. Cheese pizza chain.

The Goody Bag Was Glorious

Joseph Longo, Staff Writer: When you order Chuck E. Cheese on Uber Eats in New York, you get the option of a free goody bag or plush doll. I obviously picked the mysterious goody bag. What could it hold?! Starbursts? SweeTarts? A plastic replica of Mr. Cheese himself?

When it came over an hour later, I quickly devoured the shitty sausage pizza, which tasted like cardboard and chemical cheese, and moved on to the goody bag. It was glorious. Tootsie Rolls. Airheads. Even a plastic Frisbee.

You dont order Chuck E. Cheese for the bland food. You order a meal from the childhood institution for the goody bag a 10-minute token to being a 7-year-old again. I gave myself a sugar rush, thought about my childhood buddies and remembered the white Honda Odyssey my family drove to Chuck E. Cheese circa 2004. As I sat back down to write, I was physically uncomfortable bloated and sweaty. But I felt as happy as a kid again.

Chuck E Cheese Pizza Is Now Available At Kroger

Theres no doubt that every childs favorite part of visiting Chuck E. Cheese is the games, but the restaurant chains pizza is also a huge draw.

While youll still have to head to Chuck E. Cheese to play alley bowling and arcade games, you no longer have to go to a franchise location to enjoy the iconic pizza. You can now find Chuck E. Cheese pepperoni or cheese pizza in the frozen food aisles of Kroger stores nationwide.

The new Chuck E. Cheese frozen pizzas are $6.99 each and include an offer for 250 free e-tickets that can be used for future visits at any participating Chuck E. Cheese location. The frozen pizzas may be available at other stores eventually, but for now, they are exclusive to Kroger.

Chuck E. Cheese has made a variety of changes during the last few years some of which seem geared toward improving the experience for grown-ups.

Many of the locations have updated their decor and theyve added adult-friendly menu items, like wraps, gluten-free pizza and even alcohol. Remodeled locations will also feature open pizza kitchens, where kids and parents can watch as cooks prepare their pizzas.

The newly designed locations are also missing the animatronic bands , replacing the robot musicians with an illuminated dance floor where a live Chuck E. Cheese dances with the children.

Will you be heading to Kroger to pick up some Chuck E. Cheese pizza to enjoy at home?

For the nostalgia enthusiast who has everything

If youve got a lot of money and a penchant for bizarre nostalgic um art, theres good news for you. After being forced to break up by their corporate overlords, a Chuck E. Cheeses animatronic band is up for sale in California, according to Fox News. Thats right, the decades-old, creepy band that played 80s hits in our youth can now be a feature of your home if you make your way to Visalia, California, where one of the bands is now for sale. This particular band, Beach Bowzers Band, was brought to life in 1985, and has been retired for some time after more years of rocking out in a childrens pizza arcade.

Chuck E. Cheeses announced in August that it would be retiring animatronic bands, citing that theyve gotten old and boring. The kids stopped looking at the animatronics years and years ago, and they would wait for the live Chuck E. to come out, Chuck E. Cheeses Entertainment CEO Tom Leverton told CBS in August. Kids these days apparently still like the arcades signature mouse mascot, but not so much the robotic bands. In place of the robo-musicians, Chuck E. Cheese locations will be updated to just have a good old fashioned dance floor.
