The CEC decision highlights the benefit for a landlord to have a clearly worded force majeure clause in its leases that enables the landlord to require its tenant to continue payment of rent notwithstanding the occurrence of a force majeure event. Because the force majeure clauses in the CEC leases at issue clearly required CEC to pay rent, CECs situation was distinguishable from that described in In re Hitz Restaurant Group, 616 B.R. 374 . In Hitz, a bankruptcy court applied force majeure to excuse the debtor from paying rent due on the portion of its indoor space that could not be used for dining due to governmental restrictions. The Hitz decision was discussed in the June 2020 Issue of Relating to Real Estate.
On December 27, 2020, the federal Consolidated Appropriation Act was enacted into law. In addition to its numerous provisions providing financial and other relief to individuals and businesses, the CAA amended §365 of the Bankruptcy Code to permit a Subchapter V debtor to defer the payment of rent for up to an additional 60 days if the debtor shows that its inability to pay rent is due to COVID-19 financial hardship. Subchapter V is only available to small business debtors. This amendment will sunset in two years.

You need to be at least sixteen years old to work at Chuck E. Cheese. There is a wide range of jobs that sixteen-year-olds can do in their spare time. However, you will probably need to get a work permit if you are under eighteen years old.
Once you have got a job offer, you can get a work permit from your school administrator. Your parent or guardian will need to sign the work permit to give their permission. Your employer also has to complete and sign it and keep it on file in your place of work.

Chuck E Cheese Menu Options
Every kid gets two pieces of pizza included with any of Chuck E Cheese birthday party packages, but if youre like us and have adults or older siblings coming as well, I definitely recommend ordering some more things off the main Chuck E Cheese Menu as well.
While the menu doesnt have a ton of variety, they do have a bit of something for everyone including individually packaged gluten free pizzas that my sister-in-law and her gluten-free family really appreciated.
Its one of the few places Ive seen where they literally cook the pizza inside the sealed package, so theres no possibility of cross-contamination. The only downside was they only had gluten-free cheese pizzas available and only in a personal size.

Ying Like A Vip At Chuck E Cheeses

For my 9 year olds birthday we celebrated at Chuck E. Cheeses and it was such a hit that there was no question my other two kids were celebrating their birthdays there. I will say I have never seen my kids so happy then when they had their birthdays at Chuck E. Cheeses. No joke! We have had so many kid parties throughout the years for all three of my kids but Chuck E. Cheeses really does go above and beyond.
I will say what made the biggest difference I think was that we hosted a VIP Birthday party. A VIP Party means you get the whole Chuck E. Cheeses to yourself! No other parties or people other than who you invite.

The plastic refillable cups you can see here which will come in great throughout the year. Many times during school breaks we come here just for fun.
The Play Pass card was handy. With just a swipe on any game it turned it on and allowed them to play. When they found a game they loved they could just keep swiping and play over and over again.
This also gave them the opportunity to earn A LOT of tickets to redeem after the birthday party was over. Each was able to receive some fun toys in exchange!

The Bankruptcy Code prioritizes the landlords right to compensation as an administrative expense of the bankruptcy estate. Chuck E Cheese also offers a bunch of different Chuck E Cheese cake options as well as other themed options like Barbie, Hello Kitty and Batman. We bought one of the 8 round cakes but if youre doing a party with lots of kids and adults, Id go with their 1/4 sheet cake option that serves 18-20.
You can get a cake in vanilla or chocolate as well vanilla or ice cream to go with it!
Or bring in your own cake if youd prefer, although Im all for keeping it easy and ordering a Chuck E Cheese cake was easy.
Chuck E Cheese isnt just for the kids! With fun games, different food items, and free WiFi, the parents and adults that came to our party had just as much fun as the kids. Well, maybe not quite but almost. And there was definitely an epic battle of who could beat my little brother in Skeeball. It was not me.
Another nice perk to inviting parents is having other adults to help you keep an eye on the kids. Chuck E Cheese does an awesome kid safe check where you get stamped at the door with your kids and then those kids cant leave without their corresponding adult.
