Bacon Cheeseburger Mac & Cheese
This one is for the nights when you want burgers but you forgot to buy BUNS! Oops. Here combine two delicious things a Bacon Cheeseburger AND a bowl of Mac & Cheese. I threw an avocado on top because thats how I roll. For some reason my brain wants to drizzle a little mustard on top, but only do that if your brain thinks its a good idea.
- 1 box prepared Annies Organic Shells & Real Aged Cheddar
- ½ lb. ground beef
- 6 plum tomatoes, finely diced
- ¼ cup sharp cheddar, shredded
- 1/2 cup plum tomatoes, chopped
- 3 pieces cooked bacon, roughly chopped
- 2 tablespoons red onion, chopped
- 1/2 avocado, cut into small chunks
In a medium skillet, brown meat in a small glug of olive oil over medium-high heat. Season with garlic powder, salt & pepper and cook until meat is browned and some parts have a nice crispy sear on them, about 5-6 minutes. Cook shells & cheese according to package. Stir beef into prepared shells along with cheddar, tomatoes, bacon and red onion. Top each serving with avocado and serve immediately.
I hope you enjoy these recipes. I just wanted to say THANK YOU to Annies for helping me make this project a reality. Ive had this idea few years and here it is, THANKS TO YOU!

Overall I Thought Velveeta’s Shells And Cheese Had The Best Consistency Of The Bunch
Mixing Velveeta’s packet of sauce with the liquid from the microwaved macaroni made for a creamy-textured mac and cheese.
It tasted like any gooey mac and cheese from a restaurant the company’s tag line is “liquid gold” for a reason.
Even after sitting out for more than 10 minutes, the sauce was still a viscous liquid and hadn’t even begun to congeal the same way I’d found the cups with powdered ingredients did.
Can You Cook Macaroni In The Microwave
You can cook macaroni in the microwave, but it might not be as healthy as you expect. Microwaves heat food by causing molecules to vibrate, which eventually makes them break apart and release energy as heat. This causes damage to nutrients in the food, and can even cause cancer. Hence, this is not recommended.

Annies Organic Shells And White Cheddar Macaroni And Cheese The Original Annies Innovation
Annies white cheddar mac and cheese was the very first product created by its founder Annie Withey in 1989. Back then, boxed mac and cheese meals were plentiful, but they were also packed with artificial flavors, colorings and preservativesand little to no real cheese. Withey was inspired to create white cheddar macaroni and cheese as an alternative to what was available on the market, originally selling boxes of her creation out of the back of her pickup truck.
Annies recipe featured real white cheddar cheese and pasta shells. The boxes featured illustrations of Witheys pet rabbit Bernie, whose image still graces the boxes of most of Annies creations, including her signature flagship product. Since its inception, the recipe has remained the same, changing only in 1998 when it became all-organic mac and cheese. Shortly thereafter, the iconic bunny-branded boxes became crafted with 100 percent recycled cardboard, further reducing the companys already minimal carbon footprint.

Both Annie’s Flavors And The Kraft Option All Had Packets Of Dried Powdered Cheese To Make The Sauce The Velveeta Cup Had A Packet Of Thick Liquid Cheese Instead
I thought the cheese inside Velveeta’s packet was reminiscent of the kind that comes out of a sprayable can. It looked unappetizing to me at first, but then I thought about how its competition was powdered cheese, which I also didn’t find super appealing.
The Velveeta cheese was easiest to work with, in my opinion.

Product Review: Annies Gluten Free Creamy Deluxe & Cheesy Cheddar
A longtime favorite around GFF HQ, this boxed gluten free mac & cheese is deluxe because it includes a pouch of ready-to-squeeze-out cheese sauce rather than a powder you need to mix with liquid. But more than that, the flavor and texture is super rich and thick, creamy, yummy, and on par with the gluten versions we devoured as a kid. As far as ready-made mac and cheese goes, Annies deluxe and cheesy cheddar is definitely one of our favorites.

Can I Keep Mac And Cheese In The Fridge
That is probably the most heard question when it comes to food. Can you leave the food in the fridge and forget, and does it still stay good?
Well, the short and sweet answer to this question is not at all. You cannot leave your food in the fridge and expect it to stay good for a week or so.
Yes, you can put it in the fridge to consume later in the day or the next day, or the next day. But no more than that.
In the fridge section, you have a low controlled temperature. Its probably 42 degrees ºF or less, but it is not freezing the food. It will slow the growth of bacteria in food, but it wont stop them at all.
So you can leave a mac and cheese bowl in the fridge for up to two to three days, but no more than that. If you dont intend to use them in the coming days, you better put them in a freezer.
Only putting the bowl in the freezer wont do the job of saving your food for longer periods. You have to be careful about other storage conditions.
