Before I start this story, I would like to mention that this happened before we were all trapped inside of our houses all day long. Now that that disclaimer is out of the way I will tell you why I was at Chuck E Cheese. I was doing my normal weekend routine of going to places populated by children and just hanging out. This weekend was particularly hard on my because my girlfriend, who is also my cousins hamster, broke up with me. We have only been dating about a month but that is like 30 years in hamster time. Because of this sad event happening I needed a bit more cheering up so I go to Chuck E Cheese.

I went to Chuck E Cheese a number of times while I was a kid and I always enjoyed it. Now at the end of my life, early 20s, I wanted to play some more games before I am gone. By play games I obviously mean cheat. I would stand on the ski ball machines and just drop the balls into the highest point goal, I won many tickets. As a person who is the same age as many of the workers I could pass as one of them so no one questioned why I would be opening up all of the machines or taking prizes from the shelves and putting them into my car.

Customize Your Goodie Bags

Chuck E. Cheeses provides their own goodie bags if you book their Mega Super Star Birthday Package, which is what we booked because it includes pizza and drinks for the kids, unlimited all you can play and it even includes include ice cream, helium balloons and collective cups.

So, even though our guest were going to get a Chuck E. Cheeses goodie bag we decided to also make our own with an outer space theme. This is where the fun began, the birthday girl and I carefully chose every toy we put in the goodie bag, and she even picked the goodie bag itself!

I love involving my children as much as possible because I remember as a child how much I loved to be involved in the goodie bag process. Once we got all the toys my daughter assembled all the bags.

You can customize your bags with items that you buy, like we did, or if youre pretty crafty you can DIY all the contents in your goodie bag. Chuck E Cheese Wants To Spend More Than $2 Million To Destroy 7 Billion Prize Tickets

Chuck E. Cheese wants to spend more than $2 million to destroy more than seven billion prize tickets, which it says is enough tickets to fill approximately 65 forty-foot cargo shipping containers.

Earlier this year CEC Entertainment Inc., the owner of the pizza company, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. On Monday, CEC Entertainment Inc. filed a motion in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas, to destroy the tickets.

The seven billion tickets, which contain the company trademark have already been printed and Chuck E. Cheese wants them destroyed because the money it would cost to destroy the tickets is far cheaper than the $9 million that it would cost the pizza chain if the tickets ended up in the hands of the general public and were redeemed for prizes. The tickets are used at Chuck E. Cheeses arcades.

Chuck E. Cheese said it has reached separate settlements with three different companies to destroy the tickets Eastern Trading LLC, Supply Chain Engineering, and Performance Food Group. Each of the companies is either as a manufacturer or distributor.

Chuck E. Cheese is turning to eTickets due to what is says is the industrys rapid move toward contactless service due to COVID-19. And it notes that it will also eliminate future costs with the move.

An emergency telephonic hearing will take place on the matter on Monday.

Maximizing Your Time Play Card

When you load your card with play time you get unlimited game play for that amount of time. However there is a 10 second delay between each time you can tap your play pass. You can try to remember to tap your card every 10 seconds or for certain games like Harpoon Lagoon you can rest your card over the sensor and it will automatically renew your credits every 10 seconds. Again, with Harpoon Lagoon each credit gives you five shots and if you play strategically you will end up with more shots than you need, so we like to pass the card around while we play. Once a player has 40 or more shots saved up, pass the card and let another player load up. Harpoon Lagoon is fun for a while, but you dont want to feel stuck there the whole time. When my kids are loaded up, I take the card and rest it on a sensor for a coin game. So while my kids are playing their game, I load up on coins to use later. Most of the games are hard to load up credit on because they take longer to play each time, so I will tap a credit for one kid playing Batman, and then walk over and tap a credit for Football Rush. If there is any down time while they are playing, I go back to the coin games and keep loading up.
