Pepper Jack Pimento Cheese
This pepper jack pimento cheese is so easy to put together and will pretty much become your favorite go-to cheesy snack.
Ive spent my entire life in California, so I was tardy to the pimento cheese party. In fact, I have yet to have actually tried it other than my own experiments with pimento cheese. Ive never seen it on a menu in any restaurant.
What a shame! Im here to say that everyone on the west coast is totally missing out.
This pimento cheese recipe is easier to make as just about any other recipe. All you need is some grated pepper jack cheese, grated cheddar cheese, mayonnaise, and a jar of pimentos. Plus a little time for the flavors to meld. Thats it.
Serve this pimento cheese on crackers for an amazing appetizer. Of course, Im not too proud to admit Ive been known to have leftover crackers and pimento cheese for breakfast.
If you are like me , please suspend your judgment and give this a try. I always thought the idea of cheese mixed with mayo was kind of weird until I tried it. At that point, I was completely sold.

Bell Pepper Stuffing Recipe
In a large skillet or pan, stir the sausage and beef, add onion, and simmer on medium-high heat. Add your Rotel, garlic, salt, black pepper, tomato sauce, chili powder, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, and rice to the saucepan. Add additional seasonings as desired to taste! Consider cumin, black beans, Worcestershire sauce, or additional cheddar cheese.
With a small knife, carve jack-o-lantern faces into your peppers. The trick is to not place the jack olantern face features and shapes too close together because bell peppers become tender when they cook. To make carving easier, I use an extra small vegetable carving knife. If your peppers wont stand up well on their own, you can use the carving knife to shave off a small amount of pepper from the bottom to make it even.
Place the carved peppers, top on, into an 8×8 baking dish and into your oven and bake for about 30 minutes. If you prefer a more crisp pepper, remove them from the oven at 20 minutes. Spoon this filling into your cooked peppers until it is almost overflowing and top with mozzarella cheese.
Place the stuffed peppers upright into your oven without the tops. Then, bake for about 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the peppers are warm throughout. If you have picky eaters, consider filling the Halloween stuffed peppers jack-o-lanterns with any casserole filling that your family likes!

Start By Heating And Acidifying The Milk
Heat your milk to 88F which is about 31.5 Celsius by placing it in a pot or in a sink containing very warm water. If youre using a pot ensure you heat the milk very slowly and as it heats, stir it well.
Once the milk gets to 88F you can add the culture in. Start by sprinkling the powder over the milk surface then give it some time, about two minutes so that the powder gets rehydrated in order to prevent it from caking and so that it does not sink in clumps.
Maintain the warm temperature until youre instructed in the guidelines to increase it. The more you do this, the more consistent your cheese will be.
After youve stirred the culture properly, for an hour, hold the milk with the culture still until the culture starts to work. This rest is referred to as the milk ripening stage. It will initially be a slow process but the speed will increase as you go on when the lactose starts getting converted into lactic acid.
During this milk ripening phase, you have the chance to ensure the draining materials and molds are properly sanitized.

Hot Buffalo Wing Cheddar Cheese
Everyone knows that spicy buffalo wing taste.
In fact, the buffalo wing has evolved from being about chicken to being an entire food group.
People will make buffalo cauliflower, buffalo nachos, and yes, there is also buffalo cheddar cheese.
Of course, this type of cheddar cheese does not have any actual chicken wings in it it merely carries the Buffalo Wing flavor throughout the cheese.
Although buffalo wings are commonly served with blue cheese, this cheese is made with a cheddar variety.
The cheddar tends to dull the hot buffalo wing taste, which isnt necessarily a bad thing.
Sometimes the hot buffalo wings can be ultra spicy and leave you searching for some water.
This type of cheddar cheese is not going to be quite like eating a wing, but it could be one of the next best things.
One great alternative is to add some of this cheese to pizza dough, and you will have a buffalo wing flavored pie.
You can skip the red sauce on this recipe and just put the cheese right on the pizza.
If you happen to have some chicken around, you can add that to make it a complete meal.
If you have not yet tried a buffalo wing flavored cheddar cheese, it is certainly worth a try for a fun appetizer or to use in a new recipe.

Like Velveeta What Cheese Melts
The flavor of cheddar cheese is comparable to that of Velveeta and American cheese. However, unlike these two cheese products, true cheddar is not prepared in the same manner. Instead, cheesemakers create cheddar the old-fashioned way. Curds are created when milk is first acidified by cultures, drained, condensed, and cheddared, and then aged.
The greatest Velveeta alternative is young, mild cheddar because of its creamy texture and mild flavor. Sometimes the richness or savoriness of aged, sharp cheddars makes them unsuitable for recipes that call for Velveeta. Other crucial flavors could clash with it or even be overpowered by it.
Fortunately, young cheddars are simple to locate in almost any cheese section, and they are frequently less expensive than their matured counterparts. You can replace Velveeta with cheddar in a 1:1 ratio, though you might want to use less cheese when using sharp or flavored cheddars.
American or Velveeta are significantly thinner than cheddar, thus cheddar may not be the ideal option for sauces and dips. Instead, it functions best as a spread in dishes like nachos or grilled cheese. You can experiment with adding an emulsifier to your recipe if you want to thin it out.

Pepper Jack Cheese Basics
Pepper jack cheese is derived from Monterey Jack which was invented sometime around the 18th century by a Californian businessman named David Jacks.
Pepper jack is a version of Monterey Jack which is a Californian white, semi-hard cheese made using cows milk. It is infused with spices like chili peppers, bell peppers, and herbs.
On its own, pepper jack has a very distinct cheesy and mild flavor that combined with the spices, provides a very balanced flavor that can be used in a lot of different recipes.
Nutritionally, pepper jack can be higher in saturated fats and cholesterol but when eaten in moderation, it is known to be beneficial and can easily become a part of anyones diet.
Also, since pepper jack is derived from Monterey Jack, you can make your version of pepper jack by mixing different herbs and spices. You can even make it at home from scratch too!
The great thing about Monterey Jack is that it follows the same cheese-making process as other types of semi-solid cheeses, however, one key difference in its production process is its maturation.
An average Monterey Jack cheese block can mature for about 2 months to up to 2 years!
This gives the cheese its distinct milky, buttery, and mildly sweet flavor along with its smooth texture.
Here are some of its key characteristics:

The Basics Of Pairing Pasta Shapes With The Right Sauce ~
- Long strand pastas are meant for lighter sauces.
- The thinner the pasta, the lighter the sauce. Angel hair should only be served with the lightest of olive oil based sauces.
- Flatter strands can support slightly heavier sauces, think fettuccine with Bolognese.
- Short chunky pasta shapes can handle heavier sauces with chunks of meat or veggies in them, like the pieces of eggplant in PASTA ALLA NORMA or the chunks of sausage in ZITI WITH SAUSAGE AND SAGE.
- Pasta shapes with nooks and crannies or ridges, like fusilli and the Torchio I used today capture and hold the sauce in recipes with thick heavy sauces like mac and cheese.
Can You Use Pepper Jack Instead Of Monterey Jack
Pepper Jack Cheese Since it has pepper, there is a bit of spice to the taste, but it still has the subtle buttery flavor that Monterey jack cheese is known for. This cheese pairs well with sandwiches and crackers. Pepper jack cheese substitutes sometimes have peppers added to get both the spice and buttery flavor.
