STEP ONE: In a food processor, crumble your cookies until the texture is a fine crumb.

STEP TWO: Slowly add the condensed milk to the food processor, mixing until it reaches the texture of cookie dough.

STEP THREE: Use a cookie scoop to measure, then form your truffles by rolling them in your hands. Lay them on a lined baking sheet, place a toothpick in each one, and refrigerate for an hour to set.

STEP FOUR: Once the truffles have chilled, melt your milk chocolate. Then, using the toothpick as a handle, dip the truffles into your melted chocolate before placing them back on the lined baking sheet.

STEP FIVE: Refrigerate for 30 more minutes until the chocolate is set.

STEP SIX: Remove the toothpick. Dip your finger into the chocolate and add a dab to seal the hole from the toothpick.

STEP SEVEN: Melt your white chocolate, pour into a Ziploc baggie, and cut the tip of a corner off. Use as a piping bag to create your white drizzle.

STEP EIGHT: Allow to set in the refrigerator for 30 more minutes, then serve.

Melt the milk chocolate either using a double-burner or by simply microwaving it in increments, and then grab a spoon, and drizzle the melted chocolate across each ball. Finally, when the chocolate is still melty, top off each ball with some sprinkles. Now, you’re ready to enjoy these chocolatey delights!

Olayinka notes that these Oreo balls pair well with coffee or milk, and warns that “you wouldn’t want anything too sweet” as a pairing option, since the balls themselves are plenty sweet. Now that you have all of the ingredients sorted, you can get started on making this recipe. First things first: You need to break your Oreos down from full-sized cookies to a fine powder. To do so, simply pop all of the cookies into a blender or food processor, then process them for about 10 seconds. The cookies should break down quickly, but be sure to keep blending if there are any large clumps. You’ll know that the Oreos are ready when they’re broken down to a “sandlike texture,” as Olayinka describes it.

Why Are My Oreo Truffle Balls Crumbly

If your truffles arent holding together, they need more sweetened condensed milk. Add a little extra condensed milk until the Oreo crumbs form a dough you can shape with your hands.

Using regular Oreos instead of double stuffed? Then youll almost certainly need a bit more sweetened condensed milk than the recipe calls for.

The trick is to make the Oreo balls with condensed milk instead of cream cheese! Combined with the filling of Double Stuf Oreos, we get the perfect truffle center!

I recommend using Double Stuf Oreos because the extra filling helps bind the truffle together. It also balances the condensed milk and keeps the recipe from being too rich.

For me, cream cheese always seems to overpower the flavor of my truffles. But these Oreo truffles with condensed milk hit the spot every time!

Can You Crush Oreos In A Blender

My second favorite method to crush Oreos is using a blender. Although I am using a small/single size blender, any sized blender will work. Tip: place Oreos in the freezer 5-10 minutes before blending- not necessary, but will cut down on the amount of Oreo crumbs that stick to the sides and bottom of the blender.

How To Make Oreo Balls

You are going to LOVE how easy this recipe is. There are seriously only three ingredients!

Start with a package of Oreos. Dump them in the food processor, and pulse until they just become sandy, fine crumbs.

Next, transfer the cookie crumbs to a big mixing bowl and toss in a brick of cream cheese. I like to use my stand mixer for this, but you could also use a hand mixer or just a wooden spoon.

Mix the cookie crumbs together with the cream cheese, until you have what looks like a stiff dough. It should only take about a minute.

Then just roll the mixture into little balls. I like to use a cookie scoop, because it helps me to get a uniform size. If you use a 1-tablespoon scoop to portion out the truffles, you should get about 35 candies total.

HOW TO MAKE OREO BALLS WITHOUT A FOOD PROCESSOR

If you dont have a food processor, thats totally ok! Just place the Oreos in a big plastic bag, and bash them with the back of a spoon until theyre all crumbly. Its a great way to get your frustrations out, lol!

What Kind Of Chocolate Works Best

I recommend Ghiradelli melting wafers. They are very easy to use and they firm up nicely once cooled. Wilton melting wafers or melted almond bark can also be used.

Chocolate chips are tricky to work with as their texture is not as smooth and they can be messy even once the chocolate cools. If you do need to use chocolate chips for dipping then add 1 teaspoon of coconut oil to the melted chocolate to help with the consistency.

The oreo cake pops must be cold and solid before dipping. You can store the undipped cake balls in the refrigerator for up to six weeks, depending on how well you have kept them. Moreover, the cake pops can last for up to a week at room temperature.

Additionally, the main reason why Oreo cake pops break apart in the warm chocolate is that they are not sufficiently cold since you did not chill them for ample time. Likewise, it might be because it is humid and hot in your kitchen. If this ever happens, put them back in the freezer till it firms.

After you’ve finished mixing the almond butter with the crushed Oreos, you can take that dough, and form the balls with it. Now, grab your dough, and scoop up a chunk of it in your hands, rolling it into a uniform ball. Lay each ball out onto the tray, and then pop the tray into the fridge for two hours. How Long Can Oreo Cake Pops Last

Before anything else, you must always keep it in a ziplock bag or airtight container when storing it in the fridge or freezer. It can last for about three to six weeks if stored correctly in the refrigerator. On the other hand, it can last for approximately three months in the freezer. However, it is not appropriate to keep it at room temperature since the chocolate will melt.

With that, you can serve them right away if stored in the fridge. But, if it came from the freezer, you should always thaw it overnight in the refrigerator or at room temperature for several minutes before re-serving them.

Its very easy to adapt this Oreo ball recipe.

    • Make them festive! These Oreo truffles can easily be adapted to any holiday or season or occasion, just by switching up the topping. Use hearts for Valentines day, red and green sprinkles for Christmas, orange and purple for Halloween, etc. You could even use colored candy melts instead of chocolate if you like!
    • Use different chocolate. If you prefer dark chocolate or white chocolate, you can use either for dipping. However, I do recommend still incorporating some almond bark. Straight chocolate chips will not have the structure or set as well as the almond bark does. White almond bark pairs perfectly with white chocolate.
    • Switch up the toppings. Instead of crushed cookies, you can add crushed peppermint, sprinkles, or just drizzle some more melted chocolate over the top.
    • Give them a mint twist. If you want some minty chocolate truffles, just add in a drop or two of mint extract when preparing the filling. Or use mint flavored Oreos!
