How To Make Keto Cheese Crisps
Preheat the oven to 250 degrees F and line one or two large baking sheets with parchment paper, depending on how large of a batch you are making. This is a really important step as the crisps do not stick to the parchment and remove nicely after baking. In addition, it wicks away some of the oil that is released during the process and cleanup is a breeze.
There are 20 slices in the package and one half of the package fills one baking sheet. Remove the paper between them and stack in an even pile. Cut the stack of slices into four pieces.
One slice at a time, lay them flat on the parchment paper lined baking sheet. While they dont have to be very far apart, make sure that they are not touching.
Make sure that the baking rack is placed in the middle position of the preheated oven. Place the baking pan into the oven and bake for 35 minutes at 250 degrees F.
*Since I wasnt really that sure that the recipe was going to work, I kept looking in the oven to see what was actually happening. Its better if you dont do this but they still turned out good. My familys only complaint is that they arent as thick as Whisps. If I experiment with thicker cheese slices in the future I will update this post!
After 35 minutes in the oven, remove and allow to cool on the baking sheet.
There is a lot of oil released when these bake so after they are cooled you may want to set them onto a paper towel to absorb the excess before serving.
Can You Make Cheese Chips In The Microwave
You certainly can, even though this is not the healthiest option. Additionally to this, once you make cheese slices in the microwa v e, they can either become soggy or rock hard.
With oven you can really regulate the crispiness you like and prefer.

Now one thing that you will need to use is a low-moisture cheese. I used both gouda and edam slices and they worked PERFECTLY. Provolone would also work. I found that parmesan, mozzarella and cheddar are too oily/greasy.

Lets talk about how to make cheese chips, its so easy!
Step 1: Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
Step 2: Take your block of cheddar cheese and shred it using a box grater.
Step 3: Line a baking tray with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
Step 4: Using a measuring spoon, add a ½ tablespoon of the shredded cheddar cheese to the baking tray. Lightly pat down the circle with your fingers or the palm of your hand.
Step 5: Repeat 11 more times, leaving a space in between each circle. Keep in mind, my tray fits 12 but yours might fit less. Dont overcrowd them.
Step 6: Bake for 8 minutes or until the edges start to crisp up.
Step 7: Let the crisps cool down, then remove them from the tray. Place on paper towels to soak up any excess grease from the cheese.
