Its so funny how this time of year I always bake bread. In fact, so much bread. Its the days getting shorter and the nights getting cooler. This always leaves me thinking about the bread my mom would bake up in the fall. She kept her loaves of bread simple. But its her love for fresh bread that inspires me to bake my own every single fall.
This year Im adding cheese and herbs for a savory twist. This makes the bread great to serve with dinner or as an appetizer.
Shockingly, Ive never shared a homemade cheesy bread with you guys, so Im especially excited about this recipe! I love how easy it is to make, how impressive it looks, and of course, how delicious it is!
How To Reheat Cheese Bread
To reheat the refrigerated cheese bread, wrap it in foil and bake in an oven preheated to 350°F for 5-15 minutes or until warmed through. Remove the foil for the final 2-3 minutes to slightly toast the cheese on top.
You can also reheat it in the air fryer, again at 350°F for about 5 minutes.
And to reheat the frozen cheese bread, you can do it the same way as mentioned above but with an additional 5-10 minutes of cooking time.
How To Make Pull

Once The Dough Has Risen
Roll it out, just like you might roll out a cinnamon roll, into a flat rectangle. Then sprinkle on the cheese blend and roll the dough into a log.
Next, cut the log in half vertically to expose the cheese. Twist the two pieces of dough over each other to create a loose twist. And finally, coil the dough up into a circle. Its going to be messy, but dont stress. Stuff any cheese that falls out back on top of the bread. It does not need to be perfect!
Once you have the bread shaped, let it rise, and then bake. Please, please, please, enjoy this warm, right out of the oven, and while the cheese is still gooey inside!
I love this as a Sunday night football appetizer or side dish to a big family dinner.

How To Make Individual Garlic Cheese Breads
- This is a single serve recipe, but you can make it for more than one person.
- I always have a fresh loaf of bread in the freezer with pieces of baking or parchment paper placed in between each slice so I can go in and grab one. Just defrost the morning you are going to use it.
- I LOVE tiger vienna or sourdough. You use use any bread you have on hand. Ive even used sandwich bread. JUST AS GOOD.
- I use unsalted butter, then proceed to add my own quantity of salt to my tastes. Its usually just a small sprinkle. I have tried to use salted butter in the past, and it was way too salty for me. However, you may use it if you wish.
- Ive suggested 1/2 a clove of garlic in the recipe as it is single serve for one piece. If you LOVE garlic, however, use 1 clove instead.
- I use a combo of mozzarella and FRESH parmesan. I dont use the powdery parmesan found in those green containers. If thats all you have, you are more than welcome to try it! I prefer fresh.

Storing Leftover Cheese Bread
Again, this recipe makes 24 Little Caesars cheese bread sticks.
And if youre sharing these with family and friends, odds are they wont be around for long.
But if you do happen to have leftovers, you can keep them in an airtight container at room temperature for around 2 days.
Also, make sure they’re completely cooled before you store them to prevent moisture from the heat building up in the container.
FREEZING THE CHEESE BREAD
To keep this cheese bread around longer, you can freeze it for up to 3 months.
If you plan to do that, cut out squares of parchment paper to place between each piece before transferring them to a freezer bag. This way, the cheese bread doesnt stick to each other in the freezer.
Also, be sure to squeeze out as much air from the bag as possible before sealing it.

What Is Pao De Queijo
Literally translated to cheese bread in Portuguese, these small, round, baked cheese rolls are a popular snack and breakfast food in Brazil. These cheese rolls are actually really cool to make, and even more fun to eat! Topping Bread With Cheese In The Bread Machine

Cheese that has been grated, cubed, sliced or melted can be added to the bread pan at the beginning of the process with the other ingredients. However, you need to add the cheese to the top of the loaf later in the cycle. This is usually done about 15 to 20 minutes before the baking cycle is complete. Your bread machine has a timer in the control panel that shows elapsed time. Keep an eye on it for when you reach the 20 to 15 minutes mark. Check the bread after the baking cycle and either leave in the machine a little longer or remove immediately. You dont want to burn the cheese. The best way to add the cheese topping is to sprinkle cheese that has been shredded at a medium. Dont top with too much cheese. It will be a mess. You should see an even distribution of cheese and the top of the bread crust when you sprinkle.
With all of that in mind, youre ready to make cheese breads. These recipes encourage you to try various cheese types with different textures and cutting styles from grated to chopped to sliced to topped. You can vary or alternate types of cheese and combine them, but always make sure the total amount of cheese is in the proportion indicated in any recipe. All of these recipes are made in the bread machine and do not require baking in a conventional oven.
