We chose the Mega Super Star package. It was perfect!

Chuck E Cheese Birthday Party Details
When you decide to organize a birthday party for your child at one of the Chuck E. Cheese restaurants you can choose from one of the four packages they offer: the star, the superstar, the megastar, and the ultimate megastar. Regardless of the package you are going for, these all will come with a party host, two hours of table space, a ticket blaster worth 1,000 tickets, 20 tokens per guest, electronic invitations, two slices of pizza for each guest, soft drinks, plates, balloons, a crown, and a guitar pick. However, the premium packages will include extra tickets and tokens, plus a pinata, ice cream, and a goody bag.

While we were all getting our game on and noshing on pizza, it turns out Chuck E. Cheese was hiding a pretty dark back personal story.
But all’s well that ends well, and it’s clear that Chuck’s adversity just made him a better person, er, mouse-man.

Which Of The Chuck E Cheese Party Packages Is Best
For us, getting the Mega Super Star package for the kids was a no-brainer.
In addition to all of the standard things the other party packages come with , the Mega Super Star also included Chuck E Cheese party favors for each child, Dippin Dots ice cream, and a 1000 ticket Chuck E Cheese coupon for the birthday child!
Make sure to put the bonus tickets in a safe place, we totally lost ours before it was time to turn them all in.
But the real seller for us on the Mega Super Star package is the all you can play option. Some kids burn turn through play points so fast that having unlimited play was amazing.
At the end of the day if you look at my pricing above, going up each tier is going to cost you an extra $50 for every 10 kids. If you can swing it, the Mega Super Star Package gives you way more for your buck than the Star or even the Super Star package.
But if you dont care about the collectible cup, goody bag, or Dippin Dots or unlimited play then by all means go for one of the lower packages and just do the unlimited play upgrade.
And if youre looking at the Mega Star versus the Ultimate Super Star package its about a $20 difference at the end of the day if youre planning to get pizza for the adults anyway. But that $20 doesnt really get you much other than ticket totes , so Id go with the Mega Star for the best value.

Is Chuck E Cheeses Declining Comparable Store Sales The Result Of Digital Darwinism Kgoy Or What
CEC Entertainment, Inc., the parent company of Chuck E. Cheeses, reported that 3rd quarter 2013 comparable store sales declined 2.1%. CEC also reported that birthday party sales declined by 11% during that quarter following a 5% decline during the first half of the year.
In the companys 3rd quarter 2013 Earnings Call, management attributed the declining sales to:
- Increased competition from kids movies
- Overall political and economic uncertainties
As we reported in our June 2013 issue, Chuck E. Cheeses comparable store sales have been on a long term downward trend, having decreased twenty-four percent in inflation-adjusted dollars since 2003.
So, what are the causes of Chuck E. Cheeses continued downward slide in comparable store sales. Is it internal? Or are there external factors that are affecting store performance?
Childrens Movies First we will examine childrens movies, as CECs management cited them as a contributing cause to the 3rd quarters poor performance in their earnings call: During the third quarter, revenue from kids movies rated G and PG increased by approximately 65 percent, or $320 million, compared to the same period in the prior year,CEC Chief Executive Officer Michael Magusiak said during the earnings call. This increase in kids movies is significant. In the past CECs management has pointed to kid movie competition a number of times as a cause of its declining comparable store sales.
