Where Did Cheese Nips Go
For most of my life cheese nips have been my absolute favorite snack. Something about them is just so special!
I live in Ohio and about 5 or so years ago cheese nips have been harder for me to get a hold of. It seemed as though more and more grocery stores were not carrying them. For the longest time I could at least count on finding them at either Target or Walmart. And eventually only Walmart At least in Ohio that is.
I also frequently visit North Carolina and quickly found out I was able to easily find them in all grocery stores there! Which was surprising but also exciting.
Recently however, I suddenly stopped finding them completely in Ohio… Even at Walmart, which was my saving grace here. I slightly panicked and thought about buying some off amazon, because at the time I realized that, it was possible. Instead I talked to a friend in North Carolina and they told me they would buy me some and mail them for Christmas. So sweet.
Fast forward a month or two and my friend in North Carolina calls me and says shed been to over 10 stores and couldnt find them anywhere. SO UNSUAL for North Carolina. Pretty much theyve just disappeared? Ive tried looking things up and havent found much and also I can no longer purchase them off of amazon. At this point I am just curious if anyone knows anything? Are they discontinued? Will they return?

The taste was the same as regular Doritos, but it was always so much more fun to bite into a cone-shaped cracker with a puff of air in the middle. 3D Doritos came in flavors like Jalapeño Cheddar, Nacho Cheese, and Zesty Ranch, and there was also a mini version sold in a plastic can.
Weâre not sure why Frito-Lay discontinued the snack in the early 2000s, but they later released Doritos Jacked 3D, which was essentially a giant triangular version of the puffed-up snack. Not quite the same, thoughâ¦

When we heard that some boxes of Cheese Nips were being recalled, we immediately had questions. Questions like, Does anyone actually eat Cheese Nips?
The Food and Drug Administration posted on its website Wednesday that Mondelz Global LLC, the parent company of Nabisco, which owns the cracker brand, announced a voluntary recall of a limited quantity of Cheese Nips product in the United States due to the potential presence of small food-grade yellow plastic pieces from a dough scraper.
You probably know Cheese Nips as the little cheese snack crackers that look but do not taste identical to Cheez-Its, the superior snack cracker that Kelloggs debuted in the 1920s. Cheese Nips came about 30 years later, and despite securing that proper spelling of cheese in the name, they have been playing catch-up in the public consciousness ever since.
When I mentioned the Cheese Nips recall to Times food critic Helen Freund, she said, I had to look up what Cheese Nips were,” which felt right.
I turned to our workplace message system to see if I could find any Cheese Nips fans, and the answer was not really.

Deeply Troubling: Cheese Nips Just Put Out Avague Announcement About How We Will All Rue The Day We Let Cheese Nips Playsecond Fiddle To Cheez
Cheese Nips just went on social media to release a cryptic and disturbing announcement. In an ominous Facebook post, the cheese-cracker brand declared that people would rue the day they let Cheese Nips play second fiddle to their competitor Cheez-It.
Its not clear what Cheese Nips means by that, but it cant be good. Read the message for yourself, but be warned, its pretty chilling:
Initially, some commenters on the post speculated that perhaps Cheese Nips was only pretending to be angry as part of a marketing stunt, but the snack-food company quickly responded with comments of its own insisting it was dead serious, warning that there will soon be weeping and gnashing of teeth all throughout the land and that those who have purchased Cheez-Its in the past will find themselves desperately pining for death.
Yikes. Cheese Nips is not messing around.
While its still uncertain what, exactly, Cheese Nips is planning to do, the company has made it painstakingly clear that no one will be spared its wrath, whatever form it may take. Were already regretting not buying more Cheese Nips, and we can only hope that it will come to its senses and decide to show consumers some mercy.
