Amy’s Organic Margherita Pizza
Ingredients: Organic Unbleached Wheat Flour, Filtered Water, Organic Tomato Purée, Whole Milk Mozzarella Cheese , Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Parmesan Cheese , Organic Honey, Organic Basil, Sea Salt, Expeller Pressed High Oleic Safflower And/Or Sunflower Oil, Organic Garlic, Organic Cane Sugar, Yeast, Spices.
Appearance & Consistency: Rather than a layer of shredded cheese gracing the crust, Amy’s pie contained circular chunks of mozzarella. Out of all the offerings tested, Amy’s dough was the thickest, and it overpowered the cheese and sauce.
Taste: This pie was in desperate need of more cheesy goodness and an extra dose of flavorful herbs. We didn’t get any earthy hints from the olive oil or subtle sweetness from the basil. We also noticed that Amy’s opts for an organic tomato purée versus a spice-blended marinara in the recipe, which explains the lack of big-time flavor boosters like garlic and oregano.

When you order out at your favorite pizza joint, there’s the option to add certain toppings on only half the pizza. With most frozen pizzas, you don’t have the same luxury. Instructions Aside There Were A Few Additional Things I Was Very Conscious Of:
I used an oven thermometer to make sure my oven temperature was spot-on the entire time. Most ovens are pretty wildly off, so this was crucial.
My oven has a convection setting, so I turned that on. It helps to distribute the hot air more evenly, and since even heating = a crispier crust, this detail was a no-brainer.
