The Use Of Two Types Of Cheese

Many cheesy garlic breads have mozzarella cheese as the topper, which makes sense. Mozzarella is a mild flavor cheese that melts into a mouth watering, gooey treasure.

So, of course this cheesy garlic bread recipe uses mozzarella cheese. How could it not?

In addition to mozzarella most cheesy garlic recipes use some parmesan cheese. Parmesan cheese adds a little pizazz to the flavor, providing an extra pop of taste in your mouth.

And this cheesy garlic bread recipe is no different, there is of course parmesan cheese in this recipe as well.

How To Make The Best Cheesy Bread In The World

Best bread The best bread to use for Cheese and Garlic Crack Bread is crusty sourdough or another dense type of bread, but it works well with plain crusty loaves as well.

The reason it works better with sourdough is because the bread is denser so the bread tends to hold together better when you pull bits off. But believe me, there is no compromise on flavour if you use other types of bread! In fact, in the photo I chose to use a crusty Vienna loaf because it was on special.

Best cheese I really recommend using mozzarella cheese for this, you want it to stretch and pull when you tear the pieces off.

Other flavourings I kept the flavours quite simple, going for a garlic bread with cheese, but you can go really wild with the flavours for this! Ranch dressing, kick of chilli, other herbs the possibilities are endless!

When it comes out of the oven, its all golden, crusty and buttery on the inside and you know thats just the start of the eating experience thats about to commence.

.then the devouring begins. that cheesy pull! That buttery, garlicky bread!! And yet, and yet, theres even more to come.

What Is The Difference Between Korean Cream Cheese Garlic Bread And Regular Garlic Bread

While regular garlic bread is usually made with Italian bread, a baguette or loaf bread, this version is made with a rich bun, often using a brioche or milk bun recipe. Not only is the bun itself sweeter than an Italian garlic bread, but the fillings are much sweeter and more dessert-like than a traditional garlic breads flavor profile. Also, while Italian garlic bread is usually buttered and toasted or baked, this Korean garlic bread is stuffed and baked. The filling in the Korean bread is much more custardy due to the extreme amount of delicious butter wash, made with milk and egg. The butter wash softens the bread and, combined with the cream cheese, creates a custard-like filling.

Many factors contribute to the softness and fluffyness of a loaf of bread. The ingredients used in the dough, the heat used in baking, and also how much air is breathed into the dough all play a role in how well itll turn out when baked.

Why Is My Garlic Bread Soggy

  • Garlic bread that sits too long before being baked or that is cooked at a temperature that is too low can become soggy.
  • For this recipe well bake it at 350° until the cheese is melted , then increase the heat to 450° for the remainder of the baking time, about 8 more minutes, or until it begins to brown on the top. Watch it carefully to ensure it doesnt burn.
  • I like to use a thick 1lb. loaf of French bread so that I can slice it in half and still have two pieces that are thick enough to hold up underneath the garlic butter spread and cheese.

Can Garlic Cheese Bread Be Frozen

A lot of people like to make the store bought frozen garlic cheese bread. If you do not want to have the store bought bread, which is loaded with preservatives and doesnt taste nearly as good as homemade, you can make the bread and freeze it. This lets you have it on hand all the time. In order to freeze the cheese bread, you want to follow the recipe up until the baking step. Lay each piece on a plate or cookie sheet and freeze it. Once the bread is frozen, so the cheese stays in place, wrap each slice individually and then store them in a freezer bag. Then once you are ready to enjoy some of this deliciousness, remove the desired number of pieces from the freezer and let it thaw. Then bake as normal.

This cheese bread will last about 6 months in the freezer. By wrapping the slices individually, this will help to prevent freezer burn and all you to take out is as many slices as you want without needing to take out the entire batch.

Cheesy Garlic Bread Vs Cheese Pizza

I did do one thing differently for this Cheesy Garlic Bread than I would for cheese pizza, and that was to bake it at a slightly lower temperature. I wanted my Cheesy Garlic Bread to stay soft and fluffy, so I baked it slightly lower and slower to give the dough time to puff up in the oven. When baking at a super high pizza temperature the dough tends to crisp up and get crunchy on the outside before it has a chance to really get lofty. So, I lowered the temp just a smidge to 375ºF.

What Are The Herbs On Garlic Bread

Every garlic bread recipe differs. Some garlic bread recipes just use garlic as their only spice, while others branch out and add Italian spices like oregano or basil.

There are a handful of spices that compliment the humble garlic bread. However, in my opinion the perfect garlic bread does not need a ton of different spices.

A good garlic bread just needs a good ratio of ingredients partnered with just a few classic seasonings.

In the Worlds Best Garlic recipe I simply use minced garlic paired with garlic powder, fresh parsley, and little bit of paprika on top. Thats it. But I do like to add a little extra fresh parsley to add some color and freshness when it is done cooking.

This simple blend of spices really showcases the flavor and taste of a traditional garlic bread.

Can You Freeze Garlic Cheese Bread

You absolutely can, and its a dinner life-hack that I 100% recommend!

Wrap tightly in plastic wrap or tin foil, unbaked. If your wrapping is airtight, the bread should keep well for up to 6 months.

I would like to note that French bread, due to its thicker crust, does not freeze as well and will start to lose its texture after 3 or so months in the freezer.
