Cream Cheese Fruit Dip Ingredients + Notes

  • Cream Cheese | Make sure the cream cheese is at room temperature for the easiest blending. Room temperature cream cheese will result in the creamiest lump-free dip. You can use full or low-fat cream cheese, but I do not recommend the fat-free.
  • Powdered Sugar | This adds the little kick of sweetness that takes the recipe over the top.
  • Vanilla Extract | I always recommend that you use real vanilla extract, not imitation vanilla. Theres a difference in the flavor.
  • Lemon Juice | Lemon juice acts as a flavor enhancer to help bring out the flavor in the dip, it also helps cut the heaviness of the cream cheese and adds a clean fresh taste to the dip. You can use fresh or bottled for this recipe, but I always recommend fresh if you have it

Why Is My Fruit Dip Lumpy

From time to time you may have little lumps of cream cheese in your whipped fruit dip, which doesnt affect the flavor of course, but a smooth and creamy dip is part of the presentation.

Hare are my two best tips and pointers for avoiding or troubleshooting lumpy fruit dip:

  • Let the cream cheese fully soften. Its important that your cream cheese is very VERY soft before attempting to mix it with the other ingredients. I leave my cream cheese out for several hours ahead of making the fruit dip.
  • Troubleshooting lumpy dip. If, despite your best efforts, you still see a few lumps, let the dip sit on the counter for 20 minutes then blast through it again with a hand mixer or stand mixer fitted with the whisk attachment.
  • Fluffy Cream Cheese Fruit Dip With Powdered Sugar

When Im getting ready for a party, I dont have time to make a lot of complicated recipes. Which is why this easy fluffy cream cheese fruit dip is one of my favorites! All you need is cream cheese, whipping cream and powdered sugar. Its fluffy and creamy and tastes like heaven on earth!
