I have a confession to make. Im a little obsessed with the show Chopped on the Food Network. I dont know what it is you dont get recipes from it, the 30 minute time limit they have to cook in is frustrating, and some of the items they have to cook with, Ive never even heard of. However, I love to see people following their passion in life which is what all of the chefs are doing.
As I said you dont come away with any usable recipes however on a recent episode I did get inspired to make these tastyCheese Crisps. The contestants were give cheese crackers in their basket and one of the chefs used them to make cheese fricos. I thought they looked delicious and knew I had to try it. Its only 2 ingredients, but they are a mouth full of flavor!
How Do You Melt Cheese In The Oven
In an oven pre heated to 375 degrees Fahrenheit, you want to allow the butter to melt completely before you put the cheeses in. Once the temperature is reached, put your cheesecakes in for about 30 second. Then put them back in again for another 30 sec. After this, turn off the heat and let the rest of your ingredients cool down. If you are using a microwave, follow the same procedure. This will ensure that the mixture is fully cooked.

The best method is to use a low-heat method, such as the double boiler, to avoid overcooking the milk. You can also use the grinder method to grind the curds . If you prefer to grate the fresh cheese, you need to do this carefully, because the blades can easily become stuck in between the layers of cheese. We use G Hughes brand of sugar-free barbeque sauce. Just brush a liberal layer of the sauce on each piece of cheese. Layer the slices on a silicone mat but parchment paper will work well too.
