The spokesperson would not confirm whether Pasqually’s branded pizza will disappear once brick-and-mortar Chuck E. Cheese restaurants start to reopen on a larger scale, but the name is actually a dead giveaway to any true fan of the pizza-loving mouse.

Pasqually is simply a different version of the more traditional Italian name Pasquale, who just happens to be the beloved Italian chef that took Chuck E. under his wing and then, somehow, became the drummer in the mouse’s Munch’s Make-Believe Band.

Chuck E Cheese Recently Changed Their Name To Pasquallys On Grubhub

Chuck E. Cheese has slowly rolled out a name change for their pizza listings on popular delivery sites over the last several weeks. GrubHub, Postmates, and Seamless now show Pasquallys, while Chuck E. Cheese remains the name on DoorDash and Uber Eats.

Comparing Pasquallys addresses on GrubHub and DoorDash quickly shows that they share location with Chuck E. Cheese.

Although all of the pizzas available via Pasquallys can be bought through ChuckECheese.com, the parent company says theyre not the same thing.

A statement from Chuck E. Cheese says the Pasquallys brand pizza is a premium version of what youd eat during birthday parties, featuring a thicker crust and extra sauce.

Pasquallys pizza menu includes BBQ chicken, supreme, stuffed crust, all-meat, all-veggie and make-your-own. The rest of their menu is super cheesy bread, bone-in wings, boneless wings, and a chocolate chip cookie pizza.

All of those items are available for purchase through ChuckECheese.com.

In my area, buying a large supreme pizza, cheesy bread, and cookie pizza at Pasquallys would cost me $27.98 on GrubHub .

The same items at Chuck E. Cheese through DoorDash cost me $33.47 before taxes and fees.

A pickup order through ChuckECheese.com only costs $18.99 before tax.

Hes the pizza-making drummer although Pasquallys doesnt use any of the character imagery in their marketing.

Wonder if the West Philadelphia pizza restaurant Pasquallys will have any problem with this. . .

John Rich Explains Why Hes Not Requiring Masks At Nashville Restaurant

Bay Area Chuck E. Cheese

As of this week, only three U.S. locations have fully reopened for business, but a Chuck E. Cheese spokesperson for the chain said the pizza-entertainment eatery has already rolled out a list of changes customers can expect to see during their next visit.

“We have instituted new protocols to provide a safe environment for our guests that follow national, state and local health guidelines such as enforcing social distancing, limiting capacity, increasing cleaning procedures and frequency and requiring employees and recommending guests to wear masks,” the spokesperson said.

For example, “Chuck E. is resting until he feels ready to get back out on the dance floor,” the spokesperson added. Birthday parties will no longer be held during normal business hours, either. Instead, parties will be available by private reservation during special hours.

All restaurants will be enacting the following measures during their initial reopening phase :

  • Touch-less temperature checks will be required for all employees and guests.
  • Each guest will be required to use hand sanitizer upon entering and multiple hand-sanitizing stations will be placed throughout the dining and gaming room areas.
  • Instead of using a hand stamp at Kid Check, the restaurant will ask each guest to take a Kid Check Selfie to make sure parties that come together, leave together.
  • Cleaning of games, restrooms and dining areas will be completed every 30 minutes.

How Pasquallys Went Viral On Social Media

While Grubhub and Seamless have not shared the number of restaurants operating under different names on those apps, they say that model was employed prior to the widespread fracturing of the restaurant industry from coronavirus.

Still, as Chuck E. Cheesemeans nostalgia for some and internet fodder for many, this particular instance took over social media. Some thought it was genius, some thought it was a trick. Some called it catfishing by the rat-turned-mouse mascot. Tuesday, without exactly addressing it, the brand tweeted Sometimes things dont go your way.

One Reddit user said they were trying to support a local business and ended up unintentionally supporting Chuck E. Cheese, since theres no indication on delivery apps that lets customers know that both franchises are connected.

The parent company of Chuck E. Cheese, CEC Entertainment, is struggling under a heavy debt load, with lenders organizing and tapping restructuring lawyers, according to Business Insider. For an orphan mouse who allegedly does not know his own birthday, it just the next obstacle to overcome.

Why Chuck E Cheese Needs To Destroy 7 Billion Paper Prize Tickets

COVID-19 shutdowns and a recent bankruptcy filing have left the chain with surplus tickets as it looks to go digital.

According to the United Nations, the worlds population hit 7.7 billion in the middle of last year. And according to Chuck E. Cheese, it has enough leftover paper prize tickets to give one to at least seven billion of us. CEC Entertainment, the eatertainment chains parent company says that pandemic-related shutdowns have caused a serious backlog of prize tix, and it has asked a Texas bankruptcy court for permission to destroy all of them.

According to CNN, because the California-based chain has filed for bankruptcy, it has to get the courts approval before it spends money on anything. The restaurants attorneys say that the cost of destroying the tickets will be $2.3 million, which is around $1 million less than it would cost if the tickets were circulated through the supply chain and distributed to restaurants. If that sounds like a lot of money, well, its because theyre dealing with a lot of tickets: seven billion paper tickets are enough to fill 65 forty-foot cargo shipping containers.

One of the first steps that McKillips took was partnering with third-party delivery companies like Grubhub and DoorDash to launch its own virtual brand, Pasquallys Pizza & Wings, which offers premium pizza that has been prepared in and picked up from Chuck E. Cheese restaurants.

Are You An All You Can Player

Part of our mission as Fun Capital of the Universe is to ensure we are always evolving our gaming packages, so guests get the most value out of their visits to Chuck E. Cheeses. As the first step to this, we went back to the basics to incorporate more of what kids really want. We talked to lots of kids and parents, and what we heard over and over again is that they want lots of games, tickets and a fun experience for the whole family.

With that in mind, this summer we launched a whole new way to play, called All You Can Play. This is the all-inclusive way to play, where you buy an amount of time instead of Play Points. Our logic behind this? Buying time instead of points allows kids to maximize the amount of games and tickets they can win during a visit.

All You Can Play games means as a parent, you never have to top off your kids Play Pass cards when they race through all of their Play Points quickly. Unlimited games also mean that your kids get to play 50% more games* and even try out new games they have never played before. More games + more tickets = more prizes! That is the kind of math problem we like to do.

With that said, kids do have different styles of playing and sometimes that varies on age. Take our quiz to find out what kind of gamer they are!

*Starting at $9 in most locations. See your location for pricing and details. All You Can Play is time-based. Time expires at the end of the day of purchase. At participating locations only.

When the display window at the Game reads Low Balance, this means that the Game costs more Play JDs than remain on your Play Pass however, you may have enough Play JDs to play another Game that requires fewer Play JDs to play. Chuck E Cheeses Phases Out Tokens

Ron Ruggless | Dec 01, 2016

Chuck E. Cheeses has phased out its iconic game tokens for tap-to-play cards, with the new Play Pass technology now in about 200 of its 746 restaurants, the company said this week.

Irving, Texas-based CEC Entertainment Inc., parent to the Chuck E. Cheeses and Peter Piper Pizza chains, said it will roll out the Radio Frequency Identification, or RFID, technology in its remaining U.S. company-owned Chuck E. Cheeses units through 2017. By the end of 2017, Play Pass will be in 511 stores, the company said, excluding its franchised, Canadian and Peter Piper locations.

Weve been talking to parents and kids, and theyre embracing the new Play Pass system, said Tom Leverton, CEO at CEC Entertainment, in a statement.

Operationally, the RFID technology has given the company new tools to provide a better customer experience, he said.

Were able to easily monitor which games arent being played as much and switch them out for new or more popular games, Leverton said. This is a whole new level of customer service that were really excited about.

Leverton, in a , also said the new RFID technology is more hygienic than the tokens, which get pass through many young hands during the course of the day. What were hearing from moms: Its clean, he said.

In addition, the cards allow CEC to provide a loyalty program with rewards.

Chuck E. Cheeses games still give out tickets that are redeemed for prizes.

Chuck E. Cheeses is switching up the eatertainment game with an All You Can Play experience at company-run locations nationwide. Instead of tokens, guests will now be able to buy time to play all games, any day of the week.

It starts at $9 for 30 minutes. At Chuck E. Cheese’s, we believe in the power of play,” Ashley Zickefoose, chief marketing and concept officer of CEC Entertainment Inc., said in a statement. “All You Can Play provides a rewarding way to infuse more play into everyday by limiting the restrictions caused by budgets and busy schedules.”

Typically, tokens can cost 20 cents each for 150, or 25 cents apiece for 40. The chain introduced a card-based system, Play Pass, in 2016, which allowed users to buy cards with prepaid points and keep track of tickets. And while games typically cost different amounts of tokens, the All You Can Play model allows users to play any game during their allotted time period. They can also pause the purchase up to two times, in case they want to grab a meal, use the bathroom, or just take a break. Both options will remain in place for now.

Of the 608 units, 519 are company run by CEC, the company owned by Apollo Global Management LLC. The firm also runs 147 Peter Piper Pizza units and purchased Qdoba from Jack in the Box in mid-March for about $305 million in cash.

Chuck E Cheese Is Disguising Themselves On Grubhub So People Order Their Pizza

During the coronavirus pandemic, Chuck E. Cheese is getting creative to get more to-go business. It appears as if the famous family entertainment center is going by Pasquellys Pizza & Wings on Grubhub to get more people to buy their food.

As one Twitter user pointed out, Chuck E Cheese realized people didnt want to order takeout from Chuck E Cheese so they changed their info in Grubhub apps to Pasquales Pizza and tricked a bunch of people into ordering Chuck E Cheese. They add that Pasquale is one of the characters in the rat band.

Yesterday I found out that Chuck E Cheese realized people didn’t want to order takeout from Chuck E Cheese so they changed their info in Grubhub apps to Pasquales Pizza and tricked a bunch of people into ordering Chuck E Cheese

TMZ reached out to the pizza chain and they admitted that they launched Pasqually as its own entity within the brands empire, and they assure fans that the pizza is a different version than what they serve at their restaurants. They state, Pasquallys Pizza & Wings recipes use fresh, homemade pizza dough, just like Chuck E. Cheese, but it is a different pizza that features a thicker crust and extra sauce, giving consumers a more flavorful, more premium pizza experience. While Pasquallys Pizza & Wings recipes are currently only available for delivery, select items might be added to the Chuck E. Cheese menu in the future.

Chuck E Cheese Is Stealthily Rebranding Itself For Takeout Orders

Out of This World | Chuck E. Cheese Songs About Having Fun

Chuck E. Cheese is known for many things. Arcade games. An unsettling animatronic band. Its titular rodent mascot. In other words, you could paint a fairly vivid picture of this Dave & Busters for children without mentioning the fact that it sells pizza. To put it in polite terms, Chuck E. Cheeses pizza isnt something you seek out, its something you eat because you forgot to sneak outside food into a Chuck E. Cheese.

At a time when restaurants across the country have had to pivot to takeout, the inability to access any part of the Chuck E. Cheese experience besides its thoroughly mediocre pizza might explain why the company has gone through something of a stealth rebrand. As a recent investigation initiated by a hungry, disappointed, and curious Redditor has revealed, Chuck E. Cheese seems to be going by Pasquallys Pizza and Wings, at least on Grubhub.

In a post on R/Philadelphia, user KendallNeff shared a text conversation they had with a Grubhub driver after getting an order from Pasquallys Pizza and Wings that tasted suspiciously like Chuck E. Cheese pizza. Further research from commenters revealed that at least in this particular Philly-area case, Pasquallys and Chuck E Cheese were both listed separately on Grubhub with the same address.

That led Food & Wine to ask Chuck E. Cheese parent company CEC Entertainment, Inc. point blank about the Pasquallys conundrum, and they confirmed those initial Reddit suspicions.
